My Christmas wish for all of us:
May we relax deeply into ourselves.
May we feel patience for the parts of ourselves caught in reactive patterns.
May we learn to cuddle the hurt, the broken, the scarred,
both within and without.
May we sing lullabies to pain.
*little one, i am here for you, little one, you will never
be tossed asunder again, oh little one, oh
apple of my eye*
May we delight in candy canes and sparkles.
May we delight in snowy joys while somehow
embracing the knowing of what encompasses it all.
May we sing the earthy Christmas carols with
I pray for you, for me, for us, for the red cardinal
who never stops singing, no never, even in the darkest
crook of winter’s ancient song.
